• Can this mount be used through automated car washes?

  Although our mounts can withstand most touchless car washes, if your mount is designed with a quick-release mechanism, it is suggested to detach the mount before using an automated car wash. Please note that we do not offer warranty for mounts that are damaged in car washes (due to the unpredictable external forces).

• Are Carbonio mounts capable of high-speed driving?

  Yes, if the mount is installed correctly it can withstand high speed driving (*Note, we do not endorse speeding or violating traffic laws).

• What are Carbonio license plate mounts made from?

  Aluminum with a powder coat finish

• Why should I choose a Carbonio license plate mount instead of a tow-hook mounted bracket from a different company?

  Tow-hook mounts run the risk of escalating body/frame damage if the car is in a minor accident, this is because tow-hooks are only to be installed temporarily and if excessive force is applied to the tow-hook from an impact - it will transfer the force through the bumper rebar and possibly into the frame rail and/or body (which would escalate the repair or write-off the car).

• Why are a majority of your license plate mounts positioned in the center?

  We strive to develop a mount that positions your license plate as close to the factory intended position as possible for that OEM look.

• How can I confirm this mount will fit my vehicle?

  Visit the “Fits these vehicles” tab in the vehicle’s no-drill license plate mount product page which will list the trim & model of your vehicle.

• Where can I find the installation instructions for my mount?

  Visit the “Installation / Support” tab in the vehicle’s no-drill license plate mount product page, this will display a link to an instruction video and/or PDF. Note, there could be more than one year range or trim listed under this tab

• If I require spare parts, how can I obtain them?

  Please note that spare parts can only be purchased for some no-drill license plate mounts that we offer. You can obtain spare parts by visiting this link: https://carbonio.com/collections/replacement-parts

• Do I need special tools to install this?

  No, the only tool you’ll need is a Phillips screwdriver to attach your plate to the mount.

• Do I need to hire a mechanic to install my no-drill front license plate mount?

  There is no need to hire a mechanic to install Carbonio license plate mounts, these are designed to be installed by the “Do it yourselfer” and does not require any unique tools. If you follow the instructions thoroughly you should have no issues.

• Can no-drill license plate mounts that use adhesive withstand extreme cold and heat?

  Yes, if installed correctly the mount will not be affected by extreme weather, we have personally tested our mounts year round in a region with extreme cold or heat and have had no issues.

• Are all Carbonio no-drill license plate mounts “Quick-release” without requiring any tools?

  Most Carbonio no-drill license plate mounts are “Quick-release” but not all. Some require your license plate to be removed first, which we wouldn’t consider "quick release". The best way to know is to view the “Features” tab to see if “it removes in seconds”, or view the “Installation / Support” tab for the instructions to have a better idea as to how the license plate mount looks and installs.

• Do Carbonio no-drill license plate mounts interfere with Parking or Adaptive Cruise Control Sensors?

  No, we design our mounts to not obstruct the primary function of Parking or Adaptive Cruise Control sensors

• Can Carbonio license plate mounts support plate frames or plate covers?

  Yes, in fact we offer license plate frames here.

• If I have a very wide European license plate, will the mount be able to accommodate that?

  Yes, if you select “Rest of World” as the region, the mount that you receive will support ALL license plate sizes of any region.

• Does it affect airflow to the grille/radiator?

  There is enough area around and behind the license plate mount to allow for sufficient air-flow cooling to the vehicle’s radiator, condenser and intercooler (if equipped). Gauges will read within operating range when the mount and plate are installed.

• Are these mounts truly drill-free (as in damage free)?

  Yes, all Carbonio license plate mounts are no-drill and damage free. They are also reversible if you choose to remove it later – without leaving marks or damaging the bumper.

• What is your return policy if I change my mind?

  As per our policies, you can return your mount within 30 days as long as it hasn’t been used or altered. There would be a return shipping charge (we would supply you with the shipping label) and there is a 20% restocking fee.

• Can I reuse the mount on other vehicles (if I sell my car)?

  Possibly, some mounts can be transferred but not all. Many of our mounts are specific to each vehicle model but there are others that can be shared between models depending on the year and bumper style.

• Where can I get help if I can’t get it to attach or fit?

  Feel free to email us at info@carbonio.com. It would be best if you can include your order number (starts with a “CS”) along with photos of the mount you receive, a well-lit photo showing the front of your car and photo showing how you are encountering an issue with it.
